Hello , You Feel The Need For Speed?“Be still, and know that I am God!" Psalms 46:10, NLT.

1. Slow Down. Breathe! We live in a fast-paced society. The world rushes on. We have lots of details to deal with. Your house needs dusting. It'll happen. The kitchen needs cleaning. You'll get to it. The grass, the cooking, budgeting, and all the work details. They will get taken care of. On the other hand, It's too much for anyone's soul. We shoot harsh chemicals through the body when we feel rushed and agitated. Mark 6:31 has this: "Then Jesus said, 'Let’s go off by ourselves to a quiet place and rest awhile.' He said this because there were so many people coming and going that Jesus and his apostles didn’t even have time to eat." We need to slow down now and again. It's good for us.

2. What's Important? Do you recall that urgent detail you just had to get done from one year ago today? Chances are, you don't. The urgent detail today? Forgotten in six months. What's important is your rest with God. Psalm 91:1, "Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty." Our Father offers the rest we need. We trust Him to care for us now and forevermore. Isaiah 48:17, "This is what the LORD says—your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: 'I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is good for you and leads you along the paths you should follow.'" Let the Lord teach you. Let Him lead you. Rest.

3. What's Really Urgent? What's urgent is your walk with the Lord. This is priority number one, every day. Titus 2:14, "He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds." Our walk with the Lord must be in holiness. We must be pure. Christians are His own special people, zealous to do good works. You can do this by loving the Lord with all your heart, mind, spirit, and strength. This is urgent, friends. Walk worthy of the Lord.

Tip: A place for everything and everything in its place.

Prayer: We let ourselves get troubled, Oh Lord. We do it to ourselves. We forget. You are our Loving Father, walking with us through each hour of our journey. We find the rest we need in You, O God, both physical and spiritual. How blessed we are to have the Lord of all existence as our Father. Thank You, Father, thank You. May we find rest to do the work You have us do. Amen Father. In your son's name, Amen.
