Hello , Do You Love Jesus?“You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy." 1 Peter 1:8, NLT.
1. Loving Him! You can love someone because they've done an awesome thing for you, like save your life or something. That form of love usually comes across as deep gratitude. After all, how can you repay someone who has saved your life? You can also have a strong respect for someone. I know people like this. They are in my heart because they are such excellent Christian examples. To love Jesus? We add to our thoughts of loving Him because He has saved our life. Being very God, He is pure without any darkness whatsoever. Let's explore a reason or two about loving Jesus.
2. All Things Jesus! Jesus is so kind to me. No one loves me as He does. He keeps up with me every moment of every day. He never leaves me. He's always helping me in earth life and heaven life. He helps me with my prayers. He listens to me. He forgives me repeatedly, even when I have a sin I am continually struggling with. He makes a home, a place for me in heaven. He teaches me about the Father, the Holy Spirit, and all spiritual items the Father would have us know. It's more than gratitude. The idea that I am headed for hell without Him is something beyond my ability to grasp. Yet, I know it's a spiritual reality. Jesus saved me from me. He saved me from Hell. Jesus is magnificent. He is worthy of our love.
3. Results! John 14:15, “If you love me, obey my commandments," NLT. If I love Jesus, I will endeavor to follow His commands. There are things He wants me to do. He wants me to be engaged in spreading His word. He wants me to be zealous for good works. He wants a fire in my heart for Him. He wants me to love others. He wants me to be as holy as I can be. If I love Jesus, I won't argue with His commands, even if my frail, tiny, human mind doesn't like a particular commandment. I won't argue with Him about what He says about salvation. I'll do it. Love Jesus, friends.
Tip: How can any intelligent being turn down such immense love from such a wonderful God?
Prayer: O Father. To love You, to love our Lord Jesus, is a wonderful blessing. Understanding Your plan of salvation, expressed in Jesus, makes for a peaceful heart. Serenity is found in Jesus. Our soul is calm, without fear of punishment. We live in Your love, Father. We approach You in prayer and heart. Jesus has opened the way to You. So much Jesus has done for us, Father. Blessed be Your Name and the Name of our Lord, Jesus. Amen and Amen.
