Hello . Saints!

Paul and Timothy, bond-servants of Christ Jesus, To all the saints in Christ Jesus who are in Philippi, including the overseers and deacons: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ , NASB, Philippians 1:1-2

Saints?

Saints. Now that's an interesting word. The world has it pictured that a Saint is a super Christian who did miracles and is labeled a Saint by some church organization. But that's not at all what the Bible says about Saints.

What does the Bible say about Saints?

Saints are Christians. They are regular people who've given their lives to Christ. The official definition from Strong's Bible Dictionary states this: "sacred (physically pure, morally blameless or religious, ceremonially consecrated). Anyone can be a Saint. It's not difficult at all to become one.

Sacred? Consecrated?

Saints are moral people, they are holy and sacred. They don't abide by all that sinful stuff. Are they perfect? No, they're just forgiven. Saints sin from time to time but they don't make a practice of it. And when they do sin, they ask God for forgiveness. Saints, you see, are people who've set themselves apart from the way of the world to serve God. Saints are forgiven, sinners. When does one become s Saint?Saints are "made" when they rise to a new life after baptism. So Romans 6:3-4, NLT, "Or have you forgotten that when we were joined with Christ Jesus in baptism, we joined him in his death? For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives."  Tip: Saints go to heaven. Others don't. Let's us all be Saints.Father, thank You for Your plan of salvation, for telling us how to be reconciled to You. Our very lives depend on You, for it is in You that we live and move and have our existence. May we ever serve You, O God. You are wondrously kind and good. You are perfect in all good ways. We esteem You highly, Father. May our lives show that each day. In Your Son's Name, we pray. Amen.
