oday, we’re talking about our need for God!
"Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end."
NLT, Ecclesiastes 3:10.
O, we greatly need God!
We live in a world destroyed by sin. As I write this, the Russians are waging war in Ukraine. Because of sin, people are starving, hating, adulterating, and they are making wars, murders, immorality, theft, brutality, meanness, and self-centered ambitions. No doubt, we have experienced harsh things. We definitely, absolutely, need God! Slide material for We Need God!
How do we find Him?
The closer we get, the closer He gets James 4:8. And Hebrews 11:6 states, "And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him." So the keyword in Hebrews tells us we must be
sincere
in our search for Him.
It's really easy to find Him.
Nature brings us to the reality of God. The universe is ordered just right for life on earth. We get everything we need for living from our planet. Secondly, our sincere search for God brings us to the Bible. It tells us everything we need to know about a healthy relationship with God. Finally, when we surrender our will to Him, we come into His glorious presence.Tip: Trust Him for everything and do everything He commands. It's the only viable way to live.Father, we call out to You every day. You are rich in favor, supplying our needs, walking us home to You. Forgive us our sins, please. Watch over us and keep Your good hand upon us. Your care is vital, and we need to know You are always with us! In Your Son's name, Amen.
