Hello,

.

T

oday, we’re talking about loneliness.

"Turn to me and be gracious to me, For I am lonely and afflicted." NASB, Psalms 25:16.

What is loneliness?

Loneliness is the feeling of being alone regardless of social contact. It can be intense inward pain. Slide Material for Loneliness!

There are several causes for feeling loneliness.

We feel lonely or isolated when we lose someone close to us. We may feel alone even when in a crowded room. Perhaps we're in a new town and haven't made friends yet or recently moved to another church. We hurt when we experience the loss of something meaningful to us - if we lose a job or live through a horrible storm. These are just a few reasons for loneliness. One of the most significant reasons for loneliness is a lack of closeness to our Father.

We can indeed have God close to us.

We know The LORD talked with Moses friend to friend, Exodus 33:11. We're told in scripture that God never changes, Hebrews 13:8.  Abraham asked God for leniency for the cities He was about to destroy, Genesis 18:22-33. That's quite a discussion! The point is, we too can talk with God anytime we want. He shares His throughs with us, His wisdom, in nature, the Bible, and close relationships with our church family. We can receive the love we need by sharing our feelings with good-hearted Christians. They're out there. Make a connection; let's call a brother or sister when we feel lonely. Remember our Father is always with us, Hebrews 13:5.Tip: The love we need is always a conversation away.Father, we want Your love. It's imperative that we know You are there through our sad moments and our happy moments. You are a loving Father, and we adore You. To know You, indeed as we ought, we know we can come to You with all our hurts and sorrows. Thank You for being so good to us. The world depends on You, Father. You are our very life!Father, right now, we pray for the war in Ukraine. We pray Your will is always done on earth, Father, but we ask an end to this war right now and the invaders removed to their territory. We ask Your benefits upon those suffering from this awful war. In Your Son's Name, amen.
