Meetings.
It's been said corporate meetings waste a great deal of time. People often make jokes about them and loathe them.But the most important meeting on earth, however, is coming together to worship and hear the gospel of Jesus Christ. Spiritual Meetings are worthwhile!
Romans 1:16, Paul writes telling the Roman church of Christ the gospel is God's power to save anyone who believes. In chapter 10:17: "Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God." Attending worship, Bible studies, and Gospel Meetings (when Saints come together to hear Bible sermons apart from worship assemblies) offers opportunities to grow, seek salvation, and praise God.We are saved from hell by the gospel!We understand hearing the gospel is the most important thing we can do. It gives access to God's gracious offer of salvation through Christ Jesus. There is no salvation without hearing the gospel and following where it leads.Tip: Don't be fooled by false preachers. Follow along closely with the speaker and determine if what is said is true.
Prayer:Father, we all meet for one thing or another. The world cannot save us, and its sins and lusts only lead us to Satan's domain. We desire to stand on Your promises and the reality of Jesus' resurrection. We know, Father, Your gracious offer is only communicated to us through the gospel. We praise You, Father, and thank You for making the offer of salvation and granting those who act upon Your word a dwelling place with You. In Your Son's Name, Amen!
