Hello,
.
.
T
oday, we’re talking about what we want.
"Dear friends, I warn you as “temporary residents and foreigners” to keep away from worldly desires that wage war against your very souls,"
NLT, 1 Peter 2:11.

Cookies!
I love cookies! I love soft ones, hard ones, overcooked ones, spices, nuts, fruit, and any goodies baked inside them. Should there be a table full of money, it's not a temptation. But now, if there's a table full of cookies, I'm taking four and thinking of a way to get four more. You see, cookies are a temptation to me. I desire them. I want them. Today, our verse, 1 Peter 2:11, states that worldly desires are dangerous. I can see that. We can easily set anything this world offers as an idol. Therefore, wanting can be hazardous to a Christian's spiritual health! The devil is the god of this world, according to 2 Corinthians 4:4. Thereby, he offers death through the things of the world. How else is he going to entice us to hell? It's the old lust of the flesh, eyes, and pride of life, 1 John 2:15-17. So be careful little children, what you see.
