oday, we’re talking about the fruit of the Spirit.
"But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!" NLT, Galatians 5:22-23.
The Fruit of the Spirit
Note that many versions of Scripture call it "the" fruit of the Spirit. This fruit is produced only by the Holy Spirit, which means He teaches us Christ-like attributes through God's word. Our Christian fruit matures as we internalize the Spirit's fruit in our hearts. Only then can we see men's souls as our Father sees them; the lost and the saved, the needy and those with plenty, reaching out to all with the gospel of Christ Jesus. Three Steps to Consider(1) Study them - "Finally, dear brothers and sisters, we urge you in the name of the Lord Jesus to live in a way that pleases God, as we have taught you. You live this way already, and we encourage you to do so even more," NLT, 1 Thessalonians 4:1. Learn to please God.(2) Eat them - "Son of man, listen to what I say to you... open your mouth, and eat what I give you," NLT Ezekiel 2:8. Give His words to our hearts.(3) Show them, "Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him," NLT, Colossians 3:10. Live the fruit of the Spirit.
