Hello,

T

oday, we’re talking about kindness as fruit of the Spirit.

“But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!” NLT, Galatians 5:22-23.

Kindness: The Fruit of the Spirit

It's defined as moral excellence, gentleness, or goodness. We might imagine how kindness can have an effect on families and marriages! Ephesians 4:32 has this, "Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you." Love will grow strong in the kindnesses we show our mates. Our children will remember the kindness we gave them long after we are gone. It's easy to see how our Father is god-powerfully kind, especially so through Jesus Christ. He gave His Son for the whole world! So here's a thought: if we want others to treat us kindly, then we should treat others kindly, Matthew 7:12. If we want kindness, then give kindness. Because we are people of the Spirit, we reflect our Father's kindness to others daily. You can see the Bible material for kindness here. You can listen to the audio here.Garland Van Dyke[email protected]www.biblepoints.org/bible-points
