"Thus says the LORD: 'Stand by the roads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is; and walk in it, and find rest for your souls,'" ESV, Jeremiah 6:16.
What ancient paths? There are ancient paths?
Yes! There are ancient paths. First, the ancient paths are not the new morality. However, there is the old immorality. The ancient paths are not the way of the LGBTQ community, but there is the old sin of homosexuality. Nor are the ancient paths the so-called "New Age Movement," but there are old eastern religions, witchcraft, sorceries, and idolatry rewrapped to appeal to a younger audience. "There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death," Proverbs 14:12, ESV.So then, the ancient paths are...? They are the way of God which brings life to all men. They are the light whereby man finds the safe path of moral living. The ancient paths are God's love, mercy, kindness, and forgiveness for broken, contrite hearts.
