Hello,
.
.
T
oday, we're talking about confessing Jesus.
"... because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved," ESV, Romans 10:9-10.

Confession
We confess our belief that Jesus was raised from the dead, and we publicly state He is Lord of all and Lord of our lives. Jesus said in Matthew 10:32 that He would confess to the Father those who publicly confess Him. So, what does it mean to confess? In the most basic sense, it means to agree. So, when we confess, we agree with Jesus that He is God's Son. For the sake of understanding, let's put Matthew 10:32 together like this:Everyone who agrees with Me that I am Christ, the Son of God, and publicly states so, I will also agree to say to My Father that you are who say you are, My disciple. We then understand that Romans 10:9 means, "I agree with Jesus, and publicly state that He is Lord and I believe that God raised Him from the dead." Making this statement, we are then free to be baptized for the remission of our sins. You can look at the Bible material for our topic and listen to the audio.Garland Van Dyke[email protected]www.biblepoints.org/bible-points
