"But I did obey the LORD,” Saul replied. “I went on the mission that the LORD gave me. I brought back Agag king of Amalek and devoted the Amalekites to destruction. The troops took sheep and cattle from the plunder, the best of the things devoted to destruction, in order to sacrifice them to the LORD your God at Gilgal.” 1 Samuel 15:20-21.

Saul tried this excuse. Samuel sent him to destroy the Amalekites entirely, but he didn't complete the command. Instead, he listened first to himself and then to the pleas of the troops to bring back King Agag and the best of the livestock. Saul lost his kingdom over this.The Crowd Usually Follows The Wrong Goals!We wouldn't jump off a mountainside just because everyone else is doing it. As well, we wouldn't live as reprobates because society is doing it. Saul lost his kingdom, and we would lose ours. So, don't follow the crowd.
