Giving!
Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. ESV. 2 Corinthians 9:7.
Giving!
Giving can be a really touchy subject. After all, we may hear the Preacher talk about it, and the response is, "Wow! He's asking for more! Don't I give enough already?" Yeah, but that's not good Bible thinking. Everything we think we possess comes from God. It's all His anyway. And besides that, holding on to money is not giving your entire life to the Lord, which, if you claim to be a Christian, you agreed to do at your rebirth. To make giving effective, first, we must indeed give our entire life to Jesus., Luke 14:33. Second, we must be thankful for all that we have, James 1:17. Third, we must be willing to share and give back to the Lord, 2 Corinthians 9:3-11. Fourth, we are to care for needy saints, Romans 12:13. Fifth, we are to care for the needs of others, Luke 10:25-37. Sixth, there's work to be done, 1 Corinthians 16:2. I'm sure there's more we could list here, but I think we get the message.
