Hello,

Ephesus

!

"

But I have this against you, that you have left your first love.

" Revelation 2:4.

Trouble in Ephesus!

  1. Ephesus is in ruins. It was abandoned in the 1500s.

  2. The Ephesus church began 20-30 years after Jesus ascended. There is no indication when it closed; however, the Goths destroyed the city in 263 AD.

  3. Churches today close for the same reason as in Ephesus: losing their love for Jesus.

  4. They left their first love.

  5. Their first love had to be Jesus.

  6. A church can't survive without true doctrine, and it certainly can't survive without loving Jesus.

  7. There's no need to practice doctrine without having true-hearted love for Jesus.

  8. Jesus saves us; doctrine teaches us what to do, when, where, and how.

  9. Read the Bible to see why and how to love our Lord Jesus.

  10. The church is told by the Apostle Paul to walk in love, Ephesians 5:2.

Friends, live as if the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are within you. Live in love. Be at peace.
