"In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which will never be destroyed, and that kingdom will not be left for another people; it will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, but it will itself endure forever."Daniel 2:44
The church Belonging to Jesus Christ!
1. The church was prophesied 400 years before it existed.
2. Daniel interpreted a dream of King Nebuchadnezzar about the major empires of the earth. The kingdom of God would never be destroyed.
3. The church came into existence at the first gospel sermon preached in Jerusalem after Jesus' resurrection.
4. 3,000 people responded to the sermon and were baptized to wash away their sins.
5. Jesus added the 3,000 to His church.
6. One cannot be in His church without being baptized.
7. Jesus is the head of the church. He alone has authority over the church.
8. The church meets every Lord's Day (Sunday) to share communion, sing, pray, give, and hear God's word.
9. One must live a righteous life to enter heaven.
10. Christians are called Saints in the Bible. See Philippians chapter 1.
