Car wrecks, construction accidents, and falls can cause broken bodies. Sometimes folks need a radical intervention to fix the broken body. That radical intervention is called surgery. It is the same in spiritual matters, too.Our souls are often broken in this dark world of sin. We are sin-sick and bound for hell unless we repent. We need the Great Physician's touch for spiritual healing. That's more radical than surgery. You're a new person from baptism, made clean by the Holy Spirit (Titus 3:5). However, sin is still at work in our flesh. We need healing from a broken spirit and a contrite heart (Psalm 51:17). Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
