You Absolutely Need This!

The title above is quite a subject line. What is it that we absolutely need? It's Jesus, of course. I want to remind you not to get complacent as a Christian. It's easy to fall into a daily routine, where Jesus becomes a mental footnote. Jesus is the reason you were doing what you were doing before reading this devotional. He's the reason you'll do whatever you do after this reading. He's the reason your heart fills you hear great singing and a great sermon.You know, He was our life when we were formed in the womb, Psalms 139. He's the reason we're alive right now, Colossians 1:17, and He's the reason you'll continue to live after this life, 2 Corinthians 5:8. You and I absolutely need Jesus. He keeps us going, moving forward to eternity.Wait! But there's more! If you follow Jesus (giving Him all your life now), He will ensure your entrance into heaven, and that's the biggest deal of all. Heaven is where it's all at. It's where the very existence of life occurs. God is the fountain of life. Life in heaven is beautiful beyond description. Heaven's activities charge our spiritual hearts with complete joy! It's also a place where bad stuff never occurs. Think of these: no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever. Jesus is the only reason you'll make it to heaven.There's only a little bit I can give you in this short devotional. Just don't take Him for granted. Give Him the place in your heart where He ought to be.
