Praising God in an Awful World. You'd want to know this!~

PS. 100:4-5, "Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations."

Hello,

Why Praise God?Take a look:

  • He is Good: Thayer's Dictionary has this definition of 'good' - "excellent in its nature and characteristics, and therefore well adapted to its end." That definition is all about God! It's a perfect picture of our Father. In His nature (meaning the way He is), He is good to all. Can anyone count the number of times He helped the Hebrews in the Old Testament? There were countless times they forfeited their right to be called God's children. Yet, He saved them because He is good. His goodness was shown in grace, compassion, and love for His fallen people. Today, He is providing the same goodness to every soul. He offers them a way out of the absolute mess the world is in and provides salvation through Jesus. God sent a savior even though we were His enemies (Romans 5:10). God is absolutely good!!

  • Enduring Love: (Ephesians 3:14-20) - Eph 3:14 "When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father,  Eph 3:15  the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth.  Eph 3:16  I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit.  Eph 3:17  Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow deep into God’s love, keeping you strong.  Eph 3:18  And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.  Eph 3:19  May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.  Eph 3:20  Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think." God never gives up on us. We are but mere specks in the universe, but God knows us, loves us, and provides heavenly homes for anyone who wants one.

  • Continual Faithfulness: Every generation has the opportunity for salvation. God provided instructions to Earthlings on how to be in His presence. The message was preached throughout the Old Testament. His faithfulness is also distinctly shown from the start of the New Testament, continuing to all future generations. God always gives people a way to be with Him. He never falters. Never gets tired. Never sleeps, never takes food or rest breaks. He shows continual faithfulness. You may not experience faithfulness from the people around you, but you can always count on God to be good.

  • Thanksgiving and Praise: Then, who in their right mind would not show gratitude to the God of existence for supernatural blessings? It's the most natural thing to do! Then who would not praise Him for who He is, what He has done for every soul, and what He will do for all the saved? "Praise God from whom all blessings flow."
