Getting Here And Going There!

2 TI 3:1-5,

"You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. People will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving, slander others, and lack self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. They will act religiously, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!"

How Did We Get Here?

I've never heard of Charlie Kirk until recent events unfolded. He leaves quite a legacy. From all accounts, he was a good man who spoke his mind, expressing his beliefs as he saw them. For that, he was assassinated. For you and me, sincere Christians will always talk of his/her faith. Here's 1 PT. 3:15: "Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it." In our culture today, we may well be shot for doing so. But that's what the Lord called us to do! So, how did we get here? Satan, sin, greed, hatred, and more. It's a harsh, ungodly world.

Going There!Remember, Christians are promised heaven. To get there, we need faith, obedience, and patience. Can we see that being in heaven is worth being killed on earth for our beliefs? Here's 1 John 5:11-13, "And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life. I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life."Friends, know that the Lord constantly has His eyes on you. When mountains crumble into the sea, there will still be love for you and me.
