It's His church...
All Things in Subjection... That would be all things in the celestial universe, all things earthly, and all things spiritual, including His church.
Head Over All Things to the church... Jesus' church does not have a pope. His church does not have a synod, nor a northern/southern convention, nor a group of present day apostles. There are no kingdom halls, no adventists, no scientists, no reading rooms, no scientologists in His church. There are no united methods, there are no earth-bound presbyteries, no church of latter day saints; there are no denominations at all in His church. There is only the church, His church. He established it and He alone is the head of it. Man has no right to change it, add to it, or delete from it.
Ephesians 1:22 And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church
Prayer: Father, in the glory of Your grace You have devised the church. You have given a spiritual family to the saved. Our Lord, we recognize Him as the head of the church. May all see the simplicity of Your plan, may all see Your plan of salvation and act upon it, and may all the saved be faithful to the Lord, our Lord. Bless You Father, bless You.
