Hello ,
The Structure of Jesus' church...(There is a Bible pattern)
He Gave Some...
Apostles: the Apostles were "ones sent forth." They were ambassadors and speakers for Christ in the first century. There are no living apostles now.
Prophets: A proclaimer of a divine message; a speaker from God. One whom God speaks to and through.There are no living prophets today.
Evangelists: A messenger of good; one who proclaims the gospel; many evangelists are alive today, preaching the word to the lost and the saved.
Pastors: These are bishops, elders, overseers, different words for the same office. These are the men who meet specific qualifications in the New Testament. There are pastors today. Many denominations have it wrong of course. Their preacher is their pastor. Pastors are always in the plural therefore you cannot have just one man as the pastor. See Acts 20:28.
Teachers: Those that instruct in the ways of God. Teachers thankfully abound today.
Saints: These are the godly men and women who make up the Lord's body in various locations. Anyone saved is a Saint.
For the Equipping of the church...The Saints are to be ready to spread the gospel round about them and care for other Saints in the church.
Ephesians 4: 11-12 And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ;
