What's the Matter with All of Us?
Rocky Soil, Hear... All of us have a heart that is self-willed and that has caused more problems for us than anything else. Our self willed decisions have lead into issues, sins, and heartaches.
Receive the Word with Joy... We turn to "Religion" for solutions, We like the idea. God is going to fix everything for us!
Have No Firm Root... Shallow Christians at best. Can't handle it when things go awry. After all, the Christians are hypocrites, the preaching is no good, the people aren't friendly, and don't tell me how to run my life.
In Time of Temptation, Fall Away... Ah, the world is ever calling. There are pleasures and temptations greater in their minds than the bliss and reward of heaven. Life is indeed hard but play in it, we must!. Heaven is far greater.
What's Wrong with Us? The World is what's wrong with us. We are guided by Satan's example rather than Jesus' example. That we have a lack of concern about the spiritual is what's wrong with us. We'd rather play in the world than live with God.
Prayer: Father, would that we would all wake up and see the truth of the matter, that we "see" Jesus on His throne. You Father are our greatest need. We need Your love, Your guidance, Your grace and mercy through our Lord Jesus Christ. Thank You Father, simply, thank You. You are always there offering salvation to all!
Luke 8:13 "Those on the rocky soil are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no firm root; they believe for a while, and in time of temptation fall away."
