You're In For It: If you claim Jesus you will be persecuted
2 Timothy 3:12 Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.
You and I will be persecuted... Doesn't have to be rocks thrown at us. There are many forms of persecution. Fact remains we will be persecuted.
You're in for the fight of your soul... There is a spiritual war going on for you, your soul, your very existence. Satan has hosts of wicked entities (Ephesians 6:12) set on your destruction. It's a spiritual battle that plays out in the physical world. Win this battle and you're in heaven; the only alternative is hell.
Persecuted by... So how is this persecution from Satan going to come at us? Check the divorce rate - destruction of families. Know anyone addicted to substances or things like gambling? Then there's adultery, fornication, sorcery (absolutely), outbursts of wrath, murders, rape, the LGBQT movement - that's destruction of the individual.
How to fight... You fight by putting on the equipment God has for you (Ephesians 6:13-18).
Prayer: In Your name Father. There's no one else to turn to. Rightly so for You are the King of the universe. You know there is a spiritual battle for our soul. Thank You for giving us armor and thank You for the forgiveness of our sin. Please Father, be with us to fight the hordes of evil beings. Amen!
