Hello , Three Facts That God Is GoodGod is good!Psalm 116:5 How kind the LORD is! How good He is! So merciful, this God of ours!
1. "In the past, He permitted all the nations to go their own ways, but He never left them without evidence of Himself and His goodness. For instance, He sends you rain and good crops and gives you food and joyful hearts,” Acts 14:16-17. Did you eat this morning? Get all your meals in yesterday? We take natural blessings for granted, but they are gifts from God. God is good.
2. "For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. 'They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope,'" Jeremiah 29:11. How does a home in heaven sound to you? Have you had all those horrible sins eating at your conscience removed? How about a love so powerful that we can't fully grasp it? God is indeed good.
3. "For this is how God loved the world: He gave His one and only Son so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life," John 3:16. Because of sin, the mockery made of Jesus should have been our distress. By sin, we should have been slapped and spit on. Because of our misdeeds, His scourging should have been our scourging. By our sins, we should have stumbled, carrying our cross of death through town in front of everyone. We should have had nails driven into our hands and feet. We should have been lifted on the cross to hang till we die. The spear thrust should have ripped our flesh. But none of this happened to us. Jesus took all this on Himself, for me, for you, because our sins were leading us to death, eternal separation from God the Father - an eternity in Hell. Truly this is the Son of God, and He is good!
Tip: You should respond to God's goodness, trust, and obey! Prayer: O Father, You are gracious beyond our capability to understand. How much love abounds to us? How much goodness we enjoy by Your hands! Every gift from You is perfect, befitting our soul. You are our God, our only God; may we ever live to You! In Your Sons Name, Amen and Amen!
