Why Would Anyone Pay Attention To Jesus?Mark 9:7

“And a cloud overshadowed them, and a voice came out of the cloud, ‘This is my beloved Son; listen to him.’”

“Listen to Him,” God said that, and if God said that, then the whole of mankind must listen to Jesus or there’s a deep penalty to pay. Right? Don’t you think that if God told you to do something and you didn’t do it that there would be a god-powerful punishment? Who could come out of that punishment alive? 

But punishment is not nearly the end of the story. If one were to take just a moment and find out who Jesus is, he would see God’s love for himself, a god-powerful love.

My prayer is that the love of God far outweighs the fear of God resulting in a sincere investigation of Christ Jesus.
