Scripture focus: Galatians 6:7–10 (NASB)

God has placed the principle of sowing and reaping in the field, and He has also placed it in the moral life. Paul writes, “Whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.” Our thoughts, words, habits, and choices all become seed. They may look small today, but they do not remain small. In time, they grow into a harvest.

Hosea warned Israel that they had sown the wind and would reap the whirlwind. Their downfall did not begin with one great act of rebellion. It began with small compromises and continued refusal to listen to God. The same danger faces us. A concealed sin, an angry pattern, neglected prayer, or a mind fed by the wrong things will shape us if we keep planting it.

Yet this truth carries hope. Through Christ, a person can repent, receive forgiveness, and begin planting different seed. Open the Bible. Pray. Worship. Choose truth when temptation comes. Serve someone. The past may explain some of today’s harvest, but it does not have to decide tomorrow’s seed. Sow to the Spirit today.

What faithful habit needs steady attention this week?

What does sowing to the Spirit look like for you today?

Prayer: Father, help me see my choices as seed. Forgive the sinful seed I have planted, strengthen me to repent, and help me sow to the Spirit through Jesus Christ. Amen.
